Endothermic Generator

The “E-Z Series” modular endothermic generator consists of (1) EZ-45 individual module 100 m3/hour (4500 CFH), EZ-90 individual module 200 m3/hour (9000 CFH) and EZ-135 individual module 300 m3/hour (13500 CFH).  The EZ90 module contains two (2) vertical reaction retort mounted in two independent rectangular gas heated combustion chamber. The gas atmosphere is generated by the endothermic reaction of an air/gas mixture in an externally heated retort containing a reaction catalyst. The approximate analysis of the resultant gas is as follows:

This atmosphere, when enriched with natural gas, is suitable for gas carburizing and carbon restoration of the low and medium carbon steels. The atmosphere, as generated, may be used for clean annealing, normalizing and hardening of all carbon steels.
